This project is aimed to bring awareness towards the plastic pollution in the oceans. Some concepts were made to visually explore the direction of the project. Various hues and compositions were dissected to see what could best represent the overall project.

The chosen message is “SEA HOLDS ALL”, the topic chosen being bringing awareness to the plastic in the ocean, being the sea that gets to hold all these materials until they eventually decompose, which takes hundreds to thousands of years.

The typographical composition was made using the TT Firs Neue typeface, while playing around with the concept of “holding” the plastic in the ocean.

To represent the ocean with using materials, plastic based fabrics was the way to go, adding meaning to the concept of the artwork. Plastic beads were also used to amplify the sensation and flow of the sea. The letters on top of the artwork are made out of hot silicone, adding another plastic material to the equation.
